Every year, IWA run the BCN Challenge Cruise: as much boating as you can do on the Birmingham Canal Navigations in a 24 hour period.

This website is the official log of the boat "Ben".

On this site, there is an interactive map/text/picture system taking you through all the places we went to on the BCN challenge.

Netscape users have my apologies. I thought that the log was due in in December. Then someone commented to me on Friday 3 September 1999 "I hope you're OK to finish it by Monday?"... By Monday! I hadn't even started it, and already had a busy weekend..... So my task - should I choose to accept it - was to learn dynamic HTML, scan lots of photos, write lots of text, draw maps - all in, err, 1 day! All I can say is - I've done my best.

In an ideal world, I would have spent more time making it far better. It should really have support for Netscape. It would be nice to have an automated changing clock face. It would have been better to move a dot rather than reload maps. In an ideal world, I'd have time to do this! But I haven't - so enjoy it anyway!
